John Power
President
John W. Power is the President of LSC International, a Chicago-based firm he founded in 1997, specializing in corporate and financial advisory services for companies in the global agri-food chain. With decades of experience in the agricultural industry, John has worked across multiple sectors, including agricultural biotechnology, seed production, crop protection, irrigation, grain storage, and food processing. He has successfully led both startup operations and large multinational companies, providing expert guidance on business strategy and growth.
John’s expertise lies in advising companies throughout the entire agri-food chain, helping them navigate complex industry challenges. His leadership has been instrumental in both primary
agricultural production and the food processing industry, where he has been involved in a wide range of business activities.
In addition to his work with LSC International, John is an active member of the HBS Angels of Chicago, where he participates in screening early-stage investment opportunities. He is also an early investor in SWARM, a technology platform designed to optimize decision-making in agriculture.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Economic Science from University College Dublin, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a professional member of several industry associations, including the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association, the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, and the American Seed Trade Association. His career is marked by a deep commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in the global agri-food sector.
