Civilization doesn't progress without the hard work put forth by the generations before us.
At PingCares, we believe those who paved the way deserve to age with safety, dignity, and connection.
Mission
PingCares stands to empower older adults by thoughtfully developing highly practical and user-friendly technology that improves their safety, wellness, and social connection.
Vision
As society advances and lifespans lengthen, life becomes more complex — but also more full of opportunity. At PingCares, we envision a culture where people of all ages continue to grow in knowledge and compassion.
We believe that thoughtfully designed technology can help older adults stretch, adapt, and thrive — not just by keeping them safe, but by keeping them engaged. When tools are approachable and meaningful, they don’t just simplify life — they empower it.
Core Values
At PingCares, we live by three core values: Commitment, Empathy, and Servant Leadership.
Commitment
We are committed to those we serve and the work we do. We earn the right to grow by delighting every customer we already have.
Empathy
We strive to understand what older adults and their families truly experience — their emotions, challenges, and hopes — so we can design technology that truly helps.
Servant Leadership
We believe that serving others isn’t just a mindset — it’s a calling. With humility and care, we lead by putting the needs of our users first.
Founding Story

PingCares is founded by Sean Liu. Sean immigrated to the United States at the age of 14. In the beginning, adjusting to a new language and high school culture was challenging. But the real hardship was the distance from his family in Beijing.
Throughout his life, Sean has been deeply connected to his grandparents. Watching them age gracefully has been a gift, yet he often feels a profound sense of helplessness, knowing he can't always be there to support them. The physical distance has made it difficult to stay in touch, and the onset of the COVID pandemic only intensified his concerns. This experience ignited a strong desire in Sean to create solutions that bring peace of mind to people who, like him, are far from their elderly loved ones.
With a background in Engineering, Sean recognized that technology could be a powerful tool—if it was designed with its intended users in mind. While pursuing his graduate studies at the University of Chicago, he met a group of like-minded classmates who shared his vision. Together, they set out to build a company that could enhance the safety, well-being, and connection of older adults, particularly those living far from family.
PingCares is named after Sean's grandmother, whose name in Chinese symbolizes peace and safety. Sean and his team are fortunate to work alongside a group of passionate professionals who deeply respect and honor older adults. They are also supported by a distinguished panel of advisors and investors who believe in their mission: one dedicated to empowering families to stay connected and ensuring that the elderly are cared for, no matter the distance.
