Supporting Dementia
Around 6.9 million Americans aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's, and dementia cases are on the rise. As rates increase, family caregivers can experience higher stress and worse physical and mental health compared to others.
A Texas A&M University study highlights how wearable technology helps improve support for both those with dementia and their caregivers, strengthening situational awareness and communication (Kellett, 2025).
How PingCares Helps
Emerging technologies, particularly wearable devices, provide valuable solutions for those needing continuous support. The PingCares watch improves communication and allows caregivers to monitor vital signs in real time.
Deanna shares her positive experience setting up a PingCares watch for her father who has dementia. She talks about the importance of a user-friendly design that helps her father to be independent while remaining safe.
