Jean Summers is an experienced leader in the senior living industry, bringing over 35 years of experience in senior care management and operational leadership. As the former Senior Vice President of Operations at Americare Senior Living, Jean oversaw the development and management of assisted and independent living communities, playing a crucial role in expanding the organization’s footprint and improving the quality of care for residents.

​Since joining Americare in 1999, Jean led the significant growth of its assisted living division, successfully doubling its size during her tenure. Her deep expertise in senior living management allowed her to navigate complex operational challenges and

implement effective strategies for enhancing resident care and operational efficiency. Jean’s strong leadership contributed to Americare's reputation as a trusted provider of senior living solutions.

Prior to her role at Americare, Jean held senior management positions at a national rehabilitation company, where she gained extensive experience in managing healthcare services and driving organizational growth. Her background in rehabilitation further enhanced her ability to lead initiatives that prioritized both the health and well-being of older adults.

 

Jean is also a registered nurse, holding a B.S. in Nursing from Clarkson School of Nursing. Her clinical knowledge, combined with her executive experience, uniquely positioned her to bridge the gap between high-quality resident care and efficient operational practices. Throughout her career, Jean has been recognized for her dedication to improving senior care and her commitment to fostering environments where older adults can thrive.
